The following fees must be paid to us when you apply for or maintain certain licenses. See applying for an alcohol, entertainment or late-night refreshment licence for details of the different types of licenses and how to apply.
Fees for premises licenses and club premises certificates
The government sets the fee. It’s based on the rateable value of your premises which will put you into a specific band.
Check the rateable value of your premises on GOV.UK
Community centres and village halls are normally exempt from this fee, unless they have a licence for the sale of alcohol, in which case a fee will be payable.
To pay an annual maintenance fee in the Barrow area, use the online payment portal and select the payment type.
To pay an annual maintenance fee in the Eden area, fill in the annual payment form online.
In the South Lakeland area, you’ll be sent an invoice for the annual fee with a contact number to call to pay. You’ll need to quote the invoice number when you pay.
