HWRC permits
Our HWRCs are only for householders to use. The waste permit scheme helps to prevent trade waste from being taken to our HWRCs.
If you're driving a larger vehicle, like a utility vehicle or van or if you use a large double axled trailer you will need to apply for an HWRC permit
If you're walking to one of our sites you'll need a pedestrian's permit so we can keep you safe.
Find out when you need a permit and how to apply for one.
Other HWRCs across Cumbria
You can use any HWRC in Cumbria, wherever you live. You can visit sites at Millom, Frizington, Workington, Maryport, Wigton, Carlisle and Brampton, for more information go to the Cumberland Council website.
