Writing numbers

Write numbers zero to nine as words unless they are technical or precise, such as dates, figure or table titles, or relate directly to the statistics being presented.

For example: There are four protected Habitat Sites within Cumbria that are in an unfavourable condition due to phosphorous pollution.

Writing numbers 10 and over

Write all numbers 10 and over as numerals.

For example: There are 12 car parks with disabled access in Kendal.
