Contractions

When, and when not, to use contractions.

Use contractions like you'll, we'll, they're and what's. Contractions make content friendlier and easier to read.

Do not use negative contractions as they can be misread as the opposite of what they say. For example, use do not instead of don't and cannot instead of can't.

Avoid should've, could've, would've and they've as they can be hard to read.
