Forecast: Rather cloudy today with outbreaks of precipitation, this wintry with sleet and snow. Further spells of snow are likely through the evening and during the night away from western
coastal areas and over high ground - with precip more likely to fall as rain at the coasts. From around midnight the snow will begin to clear. As the snow and skies clear,
temperatures will rapidly fall away, with RSTs below zero with very icy conditions expected for the remainder of the night. Dry and sunny tomorrow morning but staying very cold
with roads unlikely recovering above zero for many places
