Sandgate Hydrotherapy Pool
Supervised sessions at our specialist hydrotherapy pool, how to book a session, the sessions we offer and how you can support the pool.
We provide supervised hydrotherapy sessions for swimmers and non-swimmers alike in a supportive, non-competitive and private environment.
We offer:
- therapy at an affordable cost
- pool heated 10 degrees higher than a normal pool
- specialised group sessions
- confidence building and emotional support
- an environment for social interaction

Therapy sessions
Our therapy sessions include:
- Self-Management Session, for any adult who can benefit from using the pool
- Therapeutic Exercise Session, an experienced instructor lead session giving clients a more specific and structured exercise session
- Junior Session, a family session for people under 19 years, all under 19 year old's need to be accompanied by an adult
- Headway/Stroke Session, brain injury rehabilitation
- Arthritis group session
- MS group session
- NASS group session
- South Lakes breast care group session
- Cancer care group session
How you can support us
Our pool is supported by the fundraising activities of South Lakeland Hydrotherapy Limited, a registered charity.
They organise fundraising activities to replace and improve pool equipment and the pool building so we can keep on offering our service.

Other ways to donate
There are a number of ways you can support us. For advice and payment forms, please contact us:
- you can make donations at the pool, just ask a member of the team when you're visiting the pool
- many Pool users make a regular annual 'friend' donation of £10 or more. You can also pay by Standing Order
- our monthly prize draw costs just £12 a year to take part and we pay out three prizes each month, worth at least 50% of the proceeds
- come to our fundraising events, they are advertised on Sandgate Hydrotherapy Pool/Facebook
- donate by cheque, if you are making a donation by cheque, please make it payable to "South Lakeland Hydrotherapy Limited"
Support the Pool by getting involved with the charity
The charity is managed by a group of Trustees who all work on a voluntary basis.
The Trustees are in turn supported by a group of Friends of Sandgate Pool, who organise the fundraising activities, again on a voluntary basis.
