Local traders will be offering a wintry wonderland of home-made crafts, produce and gifts at Barrow’s November Winter Fayre on Friday 17 November 2023.

A dozen independent businesses will be setting up their stalls at Barrow Outdoor Market from 10am to 4pm, offering everything from local honey to cakes, hot coffee, candles, clothing and more.

The outdoor stallholders will be joining Barrow Market Hall’s 25-plus traders to showcase the area’s wealth of independent businesses and encourage people to shop locally. The outdoor and indoor markets are run by Westmorland and Furness Council.

Jacqui Armstrong, the council’s Barrow Markets Manager, said: “It is going to be a great day of local independent shopping at Barrow Markets. We appeal to our community to support our traders so that we can bring more monthly markets to Barrow town centre in the future.

“We have a fabulous mix of traders attending the November Winter Fayre offering tasty selections of cheese, locally produced honey, handmade jewellery, candles, wax melts, bath and home products, pretty hair accessories, delicious home-baked cakes, locally made rum and vodka, an eclectic mix of vintage and modern items, along with hot takeaway food and beverages.

“We are delighted to welcome the Coffee D’ash mobile coffee pod, Mcmunchies burger van, The South Lakes Honey Company, cake makers Yummy Delicious, L&K Trading clothing and collectibles, Coastline Brewery of Walney Island, Flicker Handmade By Lisa, The Fabowlous Boutique, Milkshake Madness, Kick-Ass Cheese, Belly Boy Blacksmith and Ulverston gin makers Wolftown.

“There will be something for everyone, including more than 25 local independent businesses inside Barrow Market Hall and the popular market café. Local singer and guitarist David Duffin will also be performing live at the Portland Walk entrance at 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm.”
