The Adult Learning Service for Cumbria has launched a new collection of courses for Term 2 of the 2024/25 academic year.
Hosted by Westmorland and Furness Council and Cumberland Council, the Adult Learning Service has added new courses for employment, digital skills, languages, arts, as well as health and wellbeing. These are in addition to a wide range of courses already on offer by the service supporting learners as they accomplish their goals and inspiring them to achieve their full potential. There are a wide range of courses on offer for people at all levels and interests, both accredited/qualification and non-qualification.
The Service, operating across Cumbria’s six main localities (Barrow, Penrith, Kendal, Carlisle, Whitehaven, and Workington, along with their surrounding areas), aims to provide exceptional adult education opportunities, inspire adults throughout Cumbria to enhance their well-being, and unlock their potential through learning, skill development, and the cultivation of positive values and behaviours.
With an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’, 98.5% of learners satisfied, and 97% saying the courses met their expectations, there’s never a better time to get involved. Many of the courses are entirely free or subsidised so that learners don’t have to spend a penny and learning is more flexible than ever, with courses delivered both face-to-face and online, so they can choose the route that’s right for them.
Get in touch with your local centre and a member of the service’s experienced and friendly team will be available to guide you to the right course for you.
