Council pays tribute to Dave Myers

Statement regarding reports the council has 'banned' bands from taking part in May Day parade celebrations in Penrith.

Knock-about fun and frolics are promised at Ulverston Pantomime Society's forthcoming production of The Snow Queen, which runs from 24 to 27 January.

The council has reaffirmed its commitment to Ulverston's Coronation Hall after taking over management of the much-loved community, arts and cultural venue on 1 January.

Ulverston Community Enterprises and its subsidiary charity have made the difficult decision to pass responsibility for the operation of The Coro back over to the local authority at the end of the year.
