Residents and businesses are being encouraged to ‘have your say’ in a new consultation as part of the next stage of developing Westmorland and Furness’ first Local Plan.

Children across Westmorland and Furness are encouraged to join this year’s Summer Reading Challenge which launches on Saturday 4 July and will run until 12 September. The Summer Reading Challenge in Westmorland and Furness Libraries encourages children aged 4 to 12 to read four library books over the summer holidays. From fiction and non-fiction, to poetry, joke books or picture books, children can read any literature of their choice.
