The Governors of St Bernard’s Catholic High School in Barrow-in-Furness are looking to appoint a highly motivated and passionate Operations Coordinator. We are looking for someone who will be responsible forproactively planning, developing

and monitoring operational activities for the whole school in liaison with the relevant departments and senior staff, including Health and Safety, General Data Protection Regulations, Data, Emergency Planning, Estate and Asset Management and other operations and compliance responsibilities as required. The role is responsible for management of the site team and assisting with supervising other staff.

St Bernard’s is a successful Catholic comprehensive school, which is part of the Diocese of Lancaster, serving the community of Furness and located on the edge of the Lake District National Park.

We would welcome applications from someone who has:

  • The ability to work proactively and independently with general supervision
  • High level organisational, planning, ICT and administrative skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Experience of supervising or managing others.
  • The ability to relate well to children and adults.
  • he ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding school roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.
