Class Teacher – Full Time (Temporary)

Required from April 2024

The Local Governing Body are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring class teacher to join our school. The successful candidate will be required to teach initially in Year 1. This post is temporary due to parental leave and expected to be for a period of 12 months.

Ormsgill Primary School is a member of South Cumbria Multi Academy Trust (SCMAT), with an aim to inspire young people and change lives through excellence in education in South Cumbria.

We are looking for a person who:

• has a passion for working with young children and is kind, caring and flexible
• has experience of working in KS1 and is able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Has a strong understanding of the teaching of phonics
• can demonstrate exceptional teaching across the curriculum with strong behaviour management strategies
• is an inspirational role model who is highly motivated and committed to working as part of a school team
• has high expectations and demonstrates a commitment to raising standards and achieving the best for all our children, both academically and personally
• is committed to inclusion and to providing exciting and stimulating learning opportunities for children of all abilities
• is able to form successful relationships with parents and the wider community
