We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and inspirational Head of Physics to join our successful, supportive and well-resourced Science faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that inspirational teaching makes learning in Physics exciting and relevant and that the curriculum is engaging, effective and supports our learners to achieve excellent outcomes. They will have a clear vision for what constitutes excellence in Physics teaching and will have a commitment to building interest and enthusiasm for Physics across the school.

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with a proven track record of supporting learners to make progress in Physics. They will be a reflective individual with a good understanding of effective pedagogy, informed by research. They will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and will actively support and develop colleagues.

The Head of Physics will lead on the quality of teaching and learning, the curriculum and assessment across KS4 and KS5 Physics, working closely with the Head of Faculty.
