Parkside Academy is a single form Primary school with approximately 300 students, a Good Ofsted rating and excellent potential for the future. The school is part of the Furness Education Trust, a multi-academy trust based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria. Currently comprised of six academies, the Trust aims to develop best practice in each school across the whole Trust, by collaborating and working together to give the best of everything to every child.  Being located near the centre of the historic shipbuilding town and close to the southern boundary of the Lake District National Park, Parkside Academy serves the Furness community.

The Local Academy Committee is seeking to appoint two passionate, outstanding Teaching Assistants to join our highly motivated, experienced and hardworking staff team. The successful candidate will join a highly motivated team.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience of working 1-1 and supporting small groups with targeted learning tasks.
  • Hold NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Have high expectations and demonstrate a commitment to raising standards and achieving the best for all of our children.
  • Be an excellent communicator.
  • Be a committed team member but also able to work with independence when required.
