Full time maternity cover Teacher of Year 5&6
Required For September 2024

The Local Governing Body of Lazonby School invite applications from an experienced, appropriately qualified (QTS) teacher for this full-time maternity cover, teaching in Year 5 and 6.  
We are looking for:
• An experienced classroom practitioner with high expectations of pupils’ behaviour and standards allowing all children to flourish 
• Someone who is passionate about teaching and learning.
• Someone who will work collaboratively with other members of staff, be flexible, well organised and enthusiastic.
• Someone who will continue to develop our positive Christian values

The successful candidate will:
• Have experience of working with year 5 and 6 
• Be able to plan appropriately to meet children’s individual needs in all areas of learning 
• Have clearly identified curriculum strengths and secure knowledge of the curriculum  
• Be well organised with high expectations of pupil performance and behaviour
• Be a committed team member who will play an active part in the life of the school
• Use a cross curricular approach to create exciting and engaging learning opportunities
• Will engage with families and promote home school links
• Support the school’s Christian ethos and values and willing to be part of the wider school community.

Applicants should indicate curricular strengths and interests as well as experience of working in KS2, specifically Year 5 and 6.
