We are a community school with 800 students aged 11-16 years on roll. Situated in the historic town of Dalton in Furness, we enjoy being on the fringe of the Lake District National Park. We are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Design and Technology to join our thriving department.  The department consists of an Academic Team Leader and Deputy Academic Team Leader and teaching staff who work across a number of subjects.  Design and Technology is a popular choice for our students in options, with us running courses in Engineering, Food Preparation and Nutrition, DT Textiles and DT Product Design.  The successful applicant will be open and flexible to teaching a range of Design and Technology subjects. You will be part of a proud, thriving and ambitious community who work together as one.

We would welcome applications from someone who has: 
• A good honours degree
• Experience of teaching students at KS3 and KS4
• The ability to plan lessons and sequences of lessons with clear objectives to ensure progression for all students
• A good understanding of effective and engaging teaching methods
