Temporary, Full time, Deputy Head Teacher 
                     
Grade: Leadership Pay Range  (£47,417 - £52,330)

Responsible to: Headteacher & Governors 

Deputy Headteacher required from 1st September 2024 until 31st August 2025.  This is a new, fixed term role due to increase in numbers and demand. 

The governors of this highly successful school are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Deputy Headteacher who is committed to nursery education. 

Kendal Nursery school is a local authority, maintained Nursery committed to providing high-quality early childhood education. We are an outstanding school based in a magnificent building and grounds. The successful candidate will have a teaching commitment and will play a pivotal role in modelling good practice for both teaching and support staff. 

Working closely with the Head Teacher, the Deputy Head Teacher will contribute to the smooth running of the nursery school, ensuring that our educational standards and values are upheld.

Our new Deputy Headteacher will be someone who:
•    Has a passion for early years education and is able to demonstrate consistently good and outstanding classroom practice
•    Is an excellent communicator with the ability to inspire, motivate and work effectively in a team;
•    Has high expectations of all pupils and is committed to creating a stimulating classroom environment;
•    Has experience of working with children in the foundation stage
•    Can support the Headteacher to continue to drive high expectations as well as the vision and values of our school
•    Is committed to providing all children with a strong start to their educational journey
•    Has a Strong understanding of SENCO responsibilities and experience in supporting children with special educational needs.
