2 x Maternity Leave Full Time Teaching Posts
1 Post KS1 & 1 Post KS2

Starting September 1st 2024

Due to 2 members of our teaching staff commencing their maternity leave in the Autumn Term, the governors are seeking to appoint 2 class teachers to join our forward-thinking and exciting team.

Beaconside is a welcoming school with children that are polite, well-behaved and keen to learn.  Our well-resourced facilities and extensive outside space mean we can provide wide opportunities and experiences through outdoor learning, sport and music. You would be joining a staff team that have developed a positive, hard-working and committed culture through everyone living our school behaviours;

- Connected in all of our action:  we first seek to engage and connect with children, parents and staff in order to be every child’s champion
- Passionate about self-development so we break the glass ceiling of expectation for our children, ourselves, and our school community
-Committed to go above and beyond in our thinking and actions on achieving our vision and values for every child

We pride ourselves on supporting and developing our teachers and would therefore encourage all teachers to apply including Early Career Teachers.
Here is a quote from one of our recently appointed ECTs.
“Everyone within school have gone above and beyond in welcoming me, offering advice and providing support when I have needed it. I feel very fortunate to be a part of such a supportive team so early in my career.”

We are looking for 2 people who can approach education in line with our school vision, values and behaviours.  People who believe they can grow and develop and deliver excellent teaching through collaboration with our team.  People who can live our school behaviours in action and demonstrate;
•    excellent care in connecting with and understanding every child
•    a willingness to engage in evidence based research to develop their teaching and improve outcomes for every child
•    the ability to provide memorable learning experiences with rigorous teaching of basic skills

Visits to the school are welcomed and encouraged and are available at the following times.
Tuesday, 14th May at 4.15pm
Monday 20th May at 4.15pm

Please confirm your attendance on a tour by e-mailing the school office (office@beaconside.cumbria.sch.uk). You can also request an application pack in this way stating which of the positions you are applying for.

Closing Date: Friday 31st May at 12:00pm
