•    Contract: One year fixed term (due to fluctuation in pupil numbers on roll)
•    Work pattern: 0.7 (working hours to be confirmed)

•    Salary: MPR – ECT Applications are warmly welcomed

Langdale CE Primary School and Nursery is an extremely caring, outward-looking and highly inclusive school with a huge emphasis on learning beyond the classroom.

The Headteacher and Governors are seeking to appoint a creative and inspiring EYFS/KS1 class teacher to join our exemplary teaching team from September 2024. This will initially be a temporary fixed term contract for one year, due to the fluctuation in pupil numbers.

Due to the size of the school (currently 32 pupils on roll), we are looking for someone who has the confidence and ability to further develop the EYFS and KS1 provision. We pride ourselves on the breadth and depth of the varied curriculum opportunities offered at Langdale so we are seeking someone who has a passion for the Early Years alongside the skill set and confidence to teach a mixed key stage class within the school.

EYFS/Year 1 Teacher

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to make a real difference to the lives of the young children and their families who are part of or wishing to become part of the Langdale School community.  We have high expectations for all of our children and are privileged to have a truly unique learning environment in which to work and deliver our bespoke curriculum design.

We are looking for an exceptional teacher who:
•    Is passionate and knowledgeable about the Early Years curriculum and familiar with the transition between the EYFS and Year 1 curriculum
•    Has an outgoing personality and a huge enthusiasm for learning beyond the classroom
•    Will fully support the Christian vision and values within our school community
•    Will put the children at the heart of everything that they do
•    Will be able to motivate, inspire and challenge pupils to achieve their very best
•    Will be part of a child centred approach that is fully inclusive
•    Is prepared to go that extra mile to make a difference to our children and the wider school community
•    Will commit themselves to success through effort and teamwork
•    Has an innovative approach to learning and teaching
•    Has excellent organisational skills
•    Has a good sense of humour
•    Understands the value and potential of the outdoor environment for teaching and learning

We can offer you:
•    An exceptional indoor and outdoor learning environment in which to teach
•    Children who are polite, enthusiastic to learn and a pleasure to teach and be around
•    A friendly, good humoured and collaborative team of staff to be part of
•    A supportive Headteacher, experienced staff team and a supportive governing body
•    A genuine commitment to the emotional wellbeing of staff and children
•    A school committed to your career development

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to become an integral part of our staff team.
