We are looking for a dedicated and inspirational teaching assistant who can work well with others to be part of our successful school team.

We are a happy, thriving school, in a small rural village.  We currently have 64 children on roll in three mixed classes from Reception to Year 6. This role is linked to pupil/(s) with an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP).

The role is to support pupil/(s) with an EHCP in the classroom and at playtimes.  We are looking for enthusiasm, commitment and a caring personality for this role ideally with classroom or other experience of supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs. Please see the Job Description and Person Specification attached. You will be working alongside the class teacher to provide a high standard of support and will need to be able to plan, deliver and monitor work to meet the needs of their Educational Health and Care Plan, as well as adapting materials to support the pupil’s learning and development.   We are dedicated to supporting the successful participant throughout the year, offering on-going training.

Bolton Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and well-being of its pupils, engages with young people and staff in Policy and practice developments, proactively encourages feedback and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

References will be taken up and the successful applicant appointment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check as well as other recruitment vetting checks. Appointment is conditional upon their satisfactory return.  See our school website for our Recruitment of ex-offenders Policy and our school workforce privacy notice.

We welcome visits to the school - please email or telephone school for an appointment, or if you have any further questions about the role.  Our school has an ethos of equal opportunity for all.
