Teaching Assistants and Senior Teaching Assistants

Job title: 2 Teaching Assistants and 2 Senior Teaching Assistants 

Salary: Teaching Assistant: PCD 5 £23,893 – part-time, pro-rata, termly time only
             Senior Teaching Assistant: PCD £26,421 – part-time, pro-rata, termly time only
              29 hours per week, fixed term due to fluctuations in SEND numbers until 31st August 2025

The children, staff and governors of Cambridge Primary School are seeking to appoint 2 Teaching Assistants and 2 Senior Teaching Assistants to support our hard-working dedicated team. The successful candidates will be required to work as part of a team to support pupils’ learning and development needs across the school, including those with Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs). 
 
The successful candidate will: 
•    hold a Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools / Early Years Education or other equivalent relevant qualification 
•    work as part of a team to ensure that additional learning needs are met   
•    undertake specific training to support pupils’ health and learning needs 
•    have excellent communication skills, particularly with children  
•    show initiative in a range of situations  
•    contribute to the development of an effective learning environment for all pupils  
•    build positive and effective relationships with pupils, staff and parents  
•    be organised, warm, reliable and enthusiastic 
•    believe passionately in the development of the whole child.
