Permanent - Term time only + 5 days

28.5 hrs per week

The main purpose of the role is to support the work of teaching and senior staff to implement agreed work programmes with individuals or small groups, in and out of the classroom. You will support the class teacher in addressing pupil’s social, emotional and behaviour needs as well as supporting academic learning. You will need to establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model at all times. This role will include communication with parents/carers and external agencies.

The qualities we are looking for include:

· Ability to relate well to children and adults and communicate at all levels

· Experience of working effectively with pupils presenting challenging behaviours.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team

· Knowledge and experience of behaviour management.

· Experience of working with primary aged children

· Experience of working with pupils with additional needs

Appropriate induction and CPD will be provided to the successful candidate.
