Temporary Part Time (0.4) KS2 ClassTeacher Fixed term due to fluctuating numbers.

Required from 1st September 2024

The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and caring teacher to take responsibility for teaching a KS2 Class (Thursday and Fridays), and to take a full part in the life of this thriving school. 

The school is noted for good relationships and its friendly atmosphere where a sense of humour is appreciated! The school has received a Good Ofsted inspection report in 2022.  Importantly they have commented on high quality work from the children, encouraged by high teacher expectation and appropriate teacher support. There is a strong educational philosophy shared by all the staff, of offering high quality learning opportunities, rooted where appropriate in first hand experiences.  As in all small Primary Schools, flexibility and adaptability are important attributes. The staff work closely together and the Governors wish to appoint someone who will fit well into this supportive but hardworking team but also be able to contribute to the wider life of the whole school.

Applicants will need to be in sympathy with the special character and ethos of a Church of England School.

The ideal candidate will:

•    Be able to work and plan with the 0.6 Teacher
•    Demonstrate an excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum.
•    Be committed to inclusion and to providing exciting and stimulating learning opportunities for children of all abilities
•    Be kind, caring and flexible
•    Be able to demonstrate a commitment to raising standards and achieving the best for all our children; both academically and personally
•    Be able to form successful relationships with parents and the wider school community
•    Have some experience of supervising pupils during residential visits
•    Have a good sense of humour
