Teaching Assistant - Temporary Part Time 

PCD 5 £23,893 (FTE) per annum pro rata - Term time only

29 hours per week

The Local Governing Board of Ormsgill Nursery and Primary School are seeking to appoint a patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children with learning, communication and sensory needs. Experience of supporting a child with additional needs would be an advantage. Where appropriate, training will be given in order to support the successful candidate. 

The post will begin September 2024 and is temporary due to funding attached to specific children (until August 2025)

Ormsgill Primary School is a member of South Cumbria Multi Academy Trust (SCMAT), with an aim to inspire young people and change lives through excellence in education in South Cumbria. 

You will need:

•    experience of working with children

•    a relevant Level 2 or higher qualification 

•    the ability to build good relationships

•    a basic understanding of how children develop and learn

•    the ability to work as part of a team

•    good reading, writing and numeracy skills

•    patience and a sense of humour
