Due to an internal restructure, the Governors of Burton Morewood CE Primary Academy & Nursery wish to appoint a full time Level 6 Early Years Practitioner, from Tuesday 3rd September 2024. The role will be for 35hrs per week, Monday-Friday, term time only (+2 weeks). The roll is initially temporary, for 1 year, and will be dependent on whole school pupil numbers thereafter.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily management of our Nursery, providing a safe, caring and stimulating learning environment for children aged 2 – 4 years. In conjunction with our Early Years Phase Leader, you will take the lead in ensuring the academic and emotional development and attainment of our youngest children in school.
The successful candidate will be prepared to work hard and respond positively to the challenges of day-to-day school life and will be committed to supporting children to achieve the very best they can through an engaging and creative curriculum.

What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will be:
• an Early Years Professional Status / Early Years Teacher Status or other suitable Level 6 Qualified practitioner
• passionate about the children's learning, progression and welfare
• in possession of GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English
• up to date with training and knowledge of Safeguarding
• able to establish and communicate clear standards and expectations
• committed to high standards of teaching and learning
• a positive person, with a ‘can do’ attitude
• trustworthy and approachable.
The Details
Start Date: 2nd September 2024
Salary Range: £29,269 - £31,364 FTE
Actual Salary: £24,743.67 - £26,514.76
Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 4pm, 35 hours a week, 39 weeks per year (+2 weeks for preparation in the holidays).
Closing Date: Wednesday 17th July 2024 at 12noon (candidates will be informed in the afternoon)
