Permanent Part Time Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Full Year, 4 days - 26 hours per week

The governors at Appleby Primary School are seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic HLTA to cover teachers’ PPA as soon as possible.  Applicants for this role will hold either the HLTA qualification or QTS. The successful candidate will have previous experience working across the Primary age range, and be able to supervise whole classes unaccompanied. 
The position will be 26.0 hours per week over 4 days although the Governors will consider a job share.

The successful candidates will:

•    Have experience of leading whole classes in an HLTA or teaching role.
•    Be able to plan and deliver high quality lessons and series of lessons in a range of national curriculum subjects.

•    Be a positive role model to pupils and other staff, demonstrating high levels of motivation and enthusiasm.
•    Support the inclusive ethos of our school.
•    Be able to work as part of an effective and committed team.
•    Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
