The children, staff and governors of St James’ CE Junior School are looking to appoint a Senior Teaching Assistant to start 4th November 2024 on a fixed term contract until 31st August 2025 with the possibility of being extended depending on funding.

21 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus 1 week) 

You will be working in KS2, supporting children with their learning and emotional needs providing tailored interventions, as required, enabling them to achieve their full learning potential.

The successful candidate will:
•    Maintain and ensure high expectations of learning and behaviour
•    Maintain the positive ethos and is willing to promote the Christian values of the school
•    Have knowledge and understanding of effective pupil behaviour management
•    Have the ability to engage and enthuse all children using a variety of approaches
•    Have experience of working with challenging behaviour
•    Have a commitment to teamwork
•    Can develop excellent relationships with all members of our school community
