Furness Primary Collaborative
Furness Primary Collaborative (FPC) are a group of 16 schools who work closely together to im-prove the educational opportunities for all children in all of our schools.  All schools in the collabo-rative are in Dalton/Ulverston and surrounding areas. The FPC are looking to appoint two Family Workers to support and work across 14 of our schools. 
This is an exciting opportunity for two, high-quality Family Support Workers who feel they possess the experience and skills to offer practical and emotional support to children and their families.  As a Family Worker in the FPC you will be well supported in your role by an experienced line-manager and have access to regular, high quality supervision.  You should naturally be enthusiastic, moti-vated and highly organised with the ability to be able to work as a part of a team and also using your own initiative.  We are looking for Family Workers who can bring something to our already dynamic and highly skilled teams. 
The Furness Primary Collaborative is committed to safeguarding children. This appointment will be subject to CRB checking and two references will be taken up.
The ideal candidates for this role will have:

•    An appropriate qualification, for example: Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
•    Knowledge and experience of direct work with families who have complex needs.
•    Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of statutory and voluntary services and experi-ences of liaising with them.
•    Knowledge and experience of Early Help and Education Health care Plans.
•    An Understanding of Safeguarding for children and vulnerable adults.
•    Experience of working with people in schools and their homes.
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•    The ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
•    The ability to give accurate information and practical support to family members of all ag-es.
•    The ability to write clear and accurate reports and use regular IT packages.
•    A commitment to equal opportunities and an understanding of the impact of deprivation and discrimination on communities, families and individuals.
•    A full, clean driving license with own car.
