Furness Education Trust is a multi-academy trust based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria serving the Furness Community, located near the centre of the historic shipbuilding town, we are close to the southern boundary of the Lake District National Park. Currently comprised of six schools including Furness Academy and five primary schools, the Trust aims to develop best practice by collaborating and working together to give the best of everything to every child.
We are looking for a positive, dedicated and enthusiastic person to join our staff team. You will cover prepared lessons for classes of up to 30 students in the short term absence of teaching staff, providing additional support for students’ learning as appropriate. This is an ideal role if you have previous experience in education, are considering career in teaching and if you are flexible, organised and capable of thinking on your feet.

You will:
• Deliver set work to students.
• Manage the behaviour of students in line with school policy whilst they are undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment.
• Establish productive working relationships with students, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
• Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom.
