Required for a September 2025 start, the Governing Body of Grange C of E Primary School would like to appoint an inspirational, kind and outward looking Headteacher on a full time (permanent) basis. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our experienced and cohesive staff team, develop, nurture and safeguard a diverse pupil population, and drive the school on a continued improvement journey, cognisant of the strong community and Church links at its heart.

The school's aim is to develop happy pupils with enquiring minds, that demonstrate respect for themselves, others and the world in which we live. We are at the heart of the South Lakeland town of Grange-over-Sands. The school is positioned above the town looking towards the bay and has large grounds for the children to enjoy.
The successful candidate will –
• Hold Qualified Teacher status and be able to demonstrate successful evidence of continued professional development relating to school leadership and curriculum development
• Have the ability to actively draw on the diversity in the school community to enhance learning and support the academic, spiritual and cultural development of pupils
• Inspire, motivate and challenge staff, pupils, and others to carry the school vision forward through effective teamwork
• Have the ability to inspire confidence, commitment and respect from others through a strong and inclusive leadership style
• Invest in and further develop our Church school values, embracing the strong relationship the school has with the Church and local community as a whole
• Harbour a safe and effective environment for pupils and staff through genuinely listening to, and acting on the needs of all
• Be globally outward looking, embracing and encouraging inclusion and equality for all
• Nurture and care for pupils from Nursery through to Year 6, developing resilient pupils ready to succeed beyond Primary School
The role will include a weekly teaching commitment, currently this is 0.3 across the school.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
