Nursery 9 Month Old Room Lead

32.5 hours (8.30am – 3.30pm, 30 minutes lunch), (with additional hours between 7.45 and 5.15pm when necessary) (Term Time Only)
Permanent position

Base to be decided either Dane Ghyll Community Primary School and Nursery or Hindpool Nursery School.

The ETC seek a 9 month old room lead with initiative and a caring, positive and flexible child centred approach. The post will involve working closely in a team, supporting the Head teachers/ Nursery manager to lead and motivate staff as well as providing individual care for pupils with a range of needs. The role will involve managing the 9 month old room and leading on EYFS Curriculum provision and planning as well as working alongside staff across our whole nursery school site, with children from 9 months to 4 years old.  The candidate will also have a good knowledge of SEND.

• Has experience working within this age range (9 months +)
• Is a committed, enthusiastic and has a passion for working with children
• Works well as part of a team
• Holds at least an NVQ level 3 
• Be a committed team member and be willing to become involved in the wider life of the school
• Have high expectations of both themselves and children
• Able to take the initiative and make decisions.

Desirables

• Confidence in dealing with children and communicating directly to parents
• Understanding of Safeguarding in School; Health and Safety; Data Protection; Confidentiality issues
• Will support all staff to create stimulating learning environments

Enhanced DBS clearance and medical clearance is necessary before any candidate may take up a post.

Applicants must be suitably qualified with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Induction support will be available, and a commitment to the school’s inclusive ethos is essential.
