Fixed Term Contract Full Time Class teacher 
September 2025 – August 2026 due to pupil numbers
 

Job Purpose:    To provide a high quality of teaching  In line with teacher’s standards.

Applications are invited from teachers with experience of KS1 and Early Years teaching. We are looking for someone with excellent proven teaching ability, vision and a good sense of humour.

The successful candidate should be a person who is:
    
-    Highly motivated and able to work as part of a team
-    Knowledgeable of KS1/ Early years provision, initiatives and issues, with recent experience
-    Knowledgeable about how young children learn and the importance of play
-    Knowledgeable of teaching phonics 
-    Understanding of how the outdoors can promote learning
-    A teacher with high expectations of children’s achievements and behaviour
-    An excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills
-    Someone who is able to plan collaboratively and have good organisational skills
-     A dedicated team member who is prepared to become involved in the wider life of school and community

South Walney Infant and Nursery School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and the job will be subject to DBS checks.

Visits welcomed out of school hours by appointment via the school office on the following dates: Wednesday 23rd April and Friday 25th April at 3.30 pm
