Permit to dig up the road or street

If you want to temporarily dig up the road or street, you must apply for a permit. You need to employ a contractor with the relevant streetworks accreditation.

You must give at least 4 weeks notice.

You must also submit a location plan, preferably OS extract scale 1:2500.

After you apply

A compliance officer will carry out a site inspection. Will will then contact you with details of how to pay the application fee.
