Using an electric vehicle in Cumbria, including a map of where to charge your vehicle, grant funding, how to charge your vehicle at home and at your workplace.
Many electric vehicle drivers install a home charging point to benefit from faster charging speeds and built-in safety features. A home charging point is sometimes fitted for free when you buy an electric vehicle.
If you own or plan to own an electric vehicle and have access to off-street parking, you can receive up to 75% (capped at £350, including VAT) off the total capital costs of a charge point. You can find further details at grant schemes for electric vehicle charging infrastructure at GOV.UK.
