There are lots of useful sources of information about the population of Westmorland and Furness and the communities within it. This population level data is important to the council, because it helps us understand the people we are serving; it may also be useful and of interest to other organisations and people in the area.
The Cumbria Intelligence Observatory, which is jointly hosted by the Westmorland and Furness and Cumberland Council performance and intelligence teams, brings together existing research and analysis resources to provide information about Cumbria and the people who live here. Information can be viewed for Westmorland and Furness, as well as for our three localities (Barrow, Eden and South Lakeland wards) and smaller parts of the council area by using the report/area functionality in the profiles section of each theme.
The Observatory has a specific page on equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) bringing together all the data it holds on relevant issues.
