Register in October for your child's Targeted Short Break Activity Hours

Children dressed as Superheros

Parents and carers of children and young people with SEND can register throughout October, for Free Targeted Short Break Activity (TSBA) hours to use in the coming year.

This valued service (funded by the DFE) offers parents, families, and young people a ‘short break’ from each other, with fun activities arranged for the children and young people, while parents and families can have a ‘short break’ from their care duties.

Eligible children and young people receive 76 hours to use across the year.

You are eligible if your child or young person…

  • lives in Westmorland and Furness
  • has a disability (as defined by the Equalities Act 2010)
  • has a current education, health and care plan (EHCP)
  • is in academic year groups 1 to 13 (or equivalent)

To access the service for the first time or to continue using it from Feb 1st, 2025, please register for Westmorland and Furness’s Targeted Short Breaks Service between 1st and 31st October 2024. (This window is for registration only, the hours are for use across the year).

Help your child to find their own superpower!
