It is important that street nameplates are kept in good condition. This is so that organisations like the post office and the emergency services can find their way around easily. It is illegal to remove, damage or put notices or stickers on or near a street nameplate.
We don't deal with damaged road signs, like speed limit signs, these should be reported to our highways online fault reporting service. Alternatively, you can call our highways hotline: 0300 303 2992.
When filling in the form below you will need to let us know the exact location of the nameplate. If it's in a town or village we'll need the postcode, street name and number of the nearest house. In a rural area, the road or area name, name of the nearest farm or house or any significant landmarks.
