A £2.9 million project to build a 40-place Alternative Provision in Barrow passed a major milestone recently as pre-built modular sections of the school structure started to arrive.
Specially trained tobacco dogs have accompanied Westmorland and Furness Trading Standards and Cumbria Police to retail premises across the Furness area, in a bid to tackle the supply and demand of illegal tobacco products.
