Sandgate is special school for children and young people between the ages of 3-19 years.
We are a split site school and currently have a £6.5m new build in progress on our upper school site. We take pride in fostering a positive and dynamic learning environment for students with severe learning difficulties

Prospective candidates are welcome to arrange to visit the school prior to submitting an application.
You will deliver on:
- QTS
- At least 5 years of experience working with SEN students, particularly those with an ASC diagnosis
- Passion for education, commitment and reliability
- Incredible patience
- Planning for a safe learning environment
- Providing engaging educational content for student learning
- Experience implementing a wide variety of learning styles with a proven record of success
- Ability to proactively and positively manage severe and complex behavioural challenges
- Experience in recording student information (academic and behavioural) using a range of software programmes
- Experience in working collaboratively within a team, and managing teaching assistants
