5hrs 25 mins per week, 12pm – 1.05pm, Monday to Friday, term time only (38 weeks)
We are seeking to appoint a Midday Supervisor to join our team supervising children in school at lunchtimes and ensuring the safety of our children, both indoors and outdoors.

The successful candidate should enjoy working with children, promote healthy eating and always encourage good behaviour. Experience of working with children would be an advantage and a willingness to undertake appropriate training is essential.  It is also essential that the successful candidates can communicate clearly to children and adults in a calm and respectful manner, be reliable and trustworthy and work within the school’s policies and procedures.

We will provide you with suitable training and induction as well as copies of school policies, including safeguarding and child protection.

Facilities Team Members

Responsible to: The Facilities and Welfare Manager

Hours: Permanent. Full time (37 hours/week, 5 days/week) full year, although requests for part-time working will be considered

Salary: Grade 7: £26,421 (level A) to £27,334 (level B), pro rata for part time

There are likely to be two shift patterns: day shift and late. Depending on preferences and availability, these will be allocated or worked in a rota

To facilitate some of our external lettings, flexibility for later finishes and/or weekend hours is required. Time off in lieu is operated

We are looking for enthusiastic, adaptable individuals to join our friendly Facilities/Site Team to provide maintenance and security for the school site.

Ideally, these roles are full time; however, part-time requests will be considered at interview.

The Facilities Team looks after the school’s buildings and the outdoor environment. Working closely with the Facilities and Welfare Manager, and depending on the shift worked, the role of the Facilities Team Members includes:
•    opening and locking up at the start and end of the day 
•    carrying out risk assessments and scheduled inspections to ensure compliance with legislation and national regulations 
•    booking and supervising contractors
•    supporting with the general maintenance of school buildings.

Full training will be given in all aspects of the role and we are keen to encourage a wide range of applications.

The successful candidates will be self-motivated, able to manage their own workload and have the flexibility to meet tight deadlines and to deal with unexpected situations.

Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and general DIY knowledge/skills would be an advantage but are not essential as full training will be given. A clean, current driving licence is desirable.

Examination Invigilators

Ulverston Victoria High School has a current requirement for Exam Invigilators.

An invigilator, under the guidance of the Lead Examination Invigilator and the Examination Officer, is responsible for conducting examinations in accordance with examination board guidelines and maintaining the security of the question papers.

The role is required to work either in the main examination room or in a smaller support exam room as part of our established invigilation team.  Invigilators are responsible for ensuring that all regulations are adhered to whilst providing the correct environment for students to perform to the best of their ability.

There may be an opportunity to become an Examination Reader or Scribe in the future should the need arise.

This post would be flexible to your availability, and you will be required to invigilate during the main examination season and during the mock examinations in school.  Availability is required for GCSE and A Level Examinations during the Summer term, May-June 2025, and for mock examinations to be held for two weeks in January.  Training will be provided to the successful candidates.
