Part-time, Administration, Clerical and Finance officer – Broughton in Furness CE Primary and Nursery School

Due to a member of our administration team reducing their hours, the Governors are seeking to appoint a motivated, effective and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly & thriving school.

The role is varied and requires solid communication and interpersonal skills together with competence in standard Microsoft Office applications, Scholar Pack (school MIS) and Parent Pay. A genuine desire to see children flourish and enjoy school is essential.

Qualifications & experience- NVQ2 or equivalent. Experience of working in a school would be advantageous.

HOURS- 16 hours per week, between the 8.30am-12:30 Tuesday to Friday, term time for 38 weeks a year, with a view to the hours increasing to 20 hours including a Monday after 12 months.

WFC Probationary period and in house training as required.

Administration Assistant/Receptionist

With immediate effect, UVHS is seeking to appoint an Administration Assistant / Receptionist with excellent organisational, communication and IT skills to join our exceptional administration team.

The successful candidate will provide efficient support to the school, under the guidance of the Office Manager, with the varied aspects of office and attendance administration and reception/student services duties.  Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages and previous experience of working within a busy office environment are essential, as detailed in the full job description and person specification.

Early Years Leader

Permanent Full Time Early Years Leader 

The Governing Body is seeking to appoint an Early Years Leader who is an outstanding classroom practitioner who will lead by example and inspire and motivate our fantastic Early Years team.  This post is an excellent opportunity for someone to work in a leadership role, whilst being fully supported by an outward-looking, forward thinking senior leadership team. The role will involve teaching in either Nursery or Reception. The successful candidate will also contribute to strategic planning and further school improvement as part of our senior leadership team.

This role involves a full-time teaching commitment, so we are seeking a practitioner with the following skills:
• Experience and expertise teaching in Nursery and Reception, ensuring all pupils make excellent progress towards their early learning goals 
• Excellent positive behaviour management and pastoral skills
•Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with parents, carers and all staff within school
• A strong commitment to inclusion and a passion for providing enriching, enjoyable early years experiences for the pupils in their care.

The role also requires someone with:
• A proven track record of outstanding teaching and leadership to raise standards in EYFS
• A clear understanding of how to prepare children for each stage in their learning journey 
• The ability to coach, mentor, lead and inspire the Early Years team and continue our journey towards our goal of providing outstanding learning and play environments for the youngest pupils in school.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team who share responsibility for school improvement and strategic direction of the school, building on current excellent practice. As part of the leadership team, they will be able to contribute to:
• embedding the vision, values, ethos and ambitions of the school
• the strategic direction and development of the school
• the achievement of the aims and objectives of the school and implementation of its policies
• effective school self-evaluation and improvement planning 
• monitoring pupil progress and attainment
• further developing the EYFS to raise standards in achievement and attainment and provide fantastic, creative, fun environments for our children to play, thrive and learn in.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience in leading successful initiatives and projects to raise standards
• Extensive knowledge of best practice in teaching and learning across Early Years and Key Stage 1
• Secure understanding of assessment strategies, EYFS data analysis and the use of assessment to maximise achievement 
• Ability to promote inclusion and meet the needs of all pupils 
• A commitment to addressing diversity positively.
