We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and inspirational Head of English to join our successful and supportive English department.  The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that inspirational teaching makes learning in English exciting and relevant and that the curriculum is engaging, effective and supports our learners to achieve excellent outcomes. They will have a clear vision for what constitutes excellence in English teaching and will have a commitment to building interest and enthusiasm for English across the school.

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with a proven track record of supporting learners to make progress in English. They will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and will actively support and develop colleagues.

Administration Assistant

Start date: as soon as possible 

This is an opportunity to take on a vital role in the school with the scope to really make a difference. We are seeking a self-motivated individual to support the busy school administration function.

20 hours per week. Term time plus 3 days INSET and 3 days in school holidays

4 hours per day (Ideally 08:30am to 12:30pm but start/finish time are negotiable)

An understanding of school systems and experience of working in a school setting is desirable, but it is essential that the person for this role is organised, able to multi-task and work flexibly. You should be able to prioritise work, have good organisational skills and work with a high degree of confidentiality and with attention to detail. You should have a good standard of literacy and numeracy, be proficient in using Microsoft Office.
