Part-time Teaching Assistant - Special Educational Needs & Disabilities  (Fixed term contract)

32.5 hours per week 
This post is term time only.

Fixed term appointment related to the provision of special needs support in respect of the named pupil and will continue pending a review of the EHCP or the pupil’s departure from the school, if earlier.  Number of hours worked may be changed, dependent on the review of the EHCP together with the times of the day the hours are worked.

This role is to support a pupil with an EHCP in the classroom and, if necessary, at playtimes.  We would want to appoint a flexible and dedicated professional with classroom experience of supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.  

You will be working alongside the class teacher to provide a high standard of support and will need to be able to plan, deliver and monitor work to meet the needs of their Educational Health and Care Plan, as well as adapting materials to support the pupil’s learning and development.

Scale BS6, £25,584 to £25,992 (£13.26 to £13.47 per hour)

A three week rota system operates during term time:
Early: 06:50 to 15:20
Day: 08:00 to 16:30
Late: 11:00 to 19:30

School Holidays:
Mon-Thu 08:00 to 17:00 and Fri 08:00 to 13:00

UVHS is seeking to appoint a Site Manager to assist in the effective security and operation of the school premises.

The successful candidate will be proactive and adaptable, working as directed by the Site Team Supervisor, be willing to work overtime to cover sickness and holidays and should possess the practical skills necessary to undertake general building maintenance, minor repairs and have experience of painting and decorating, as detailed in the full job description and person specification.
