Support Worker - Applethwaite Green - Windermere

Hourly Rate: £13.05 - £17.40

 

The advertised hourly rate includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.

 

A market supplement is currently being applied to all night and weekend (Saturday and Sunday) shifts, uplifting your hourly rate in these periods to £17.40. This will replace any previous market supplements and will apply to both your contracted hours and to any additional hours worked within the applicable time periods.

About the role

 

As a Support Worker (Carer, Care Worker, Care Assistant) you will get the opportunity to know people individually and support their wellbeing through physical and emotional care. You may also assist with medication, providing personal care, and encouraging our people to achieve or maintain independence.

 

No experience or qualifications are needed to get started. We will help and support you with fully paid training and development – we are looking for the right people, with the right qualities. About Our Home

 

Applethwaite Green is based in Windermere, with the capacity for 27 residents, catering for Dementia, Old Age and Frailty. We are a hard-working and dedicated team, and we strive to ensure our home provides a safe, caring and homely environment for our residents.

 

Working within our Residential Care Service will typically involve working shifts which usually cover between 7am until 10pm over 7 days, 365 day a year – this will include alternate weekends (as part of a set rota) and Bank Holidays.

Permanent, Part-Time After-School Club Leader / Holiday Club Leader

Salary: PCD8i £31,067 (A) per annum pro rata – term time only plus 7 weeks of Holiday Club) 

Hourly Rate: £16.10

Heron Hill Primary School is a two-form entry primary school that holds our school values of respect, responsibility and relationships at the heart of all we do. We are proud to support our pupils in learning to be kind, respectful, responsible citizens who can go on to make a positive mark on the world in which they live.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, well-organised, creative Play Leader to lead our dedicated team of play workers in our After-School club during term time. 

The successful candidate will have the passion, drive and enthusiasm to ensure the continuation of the school’s culture, ethos and high standards in After-School Club. 

They will have the ability to plan exciting activities for children, be able to support completion of homework tasks and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the provision.

Our After-school Club caters for up to 70 children from 3-11 years of age. It runs from 3.15 pm–6.00 pm each day. 

If the successful candidate has child/ren at Heron Hill, they would get free wraparound provision during their working hours and a 50% discount for their non working hours.

Play Leader Hours: 18 hours per week (3.00 pm-6.00 pm Monday to Friday, term-time only plus 3 hours per week (time to be agreed) for provision preparation. 

Holiday Club Hours: We open Mon-Thurs during Feb and Oct half term, over Easter hols and for 4 weeks over the summer holidays. Hours are 8am-5.30 pm.

Heron Hill is a school with a huge heart and a solid community ethos; the successful candidate will therefore need to demonstrate a willingness to be fully involved in the life of the school.
