The children, staff and Governing Body of Croftlands Infant and Nursery School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, energetic playleader to develop and support with play at playtimes. 

Required for immediate start - 15 hours per week – 11am- 2pm, Monday – Friday term time 
                                               PCD4 £23,500 per annum , pro rata  £12.18 per hour

We would like someone who:
•    is a friendly team player with high expectations 
•    understands the importance that positive play time experiences can have on children’s learning and wellbeing
•    is a caring, supportive individual who has an interest in developing play and using the outdoors 
•    is interested to learn more about Opal Playtimes as we develop the project in school
•    has practical skills required to organise and manage resources
•    is fun, creative and hardworking
•    is a good communicator who can collaborate with staff and children across school 
•    is flexible, enjoys sharing ideas and understands the importance of collaboration

This role may suit a current midday supervisor / volunteer working in school who wishes to take on a new challenge. Full training will be given. 
Initially this post is until the end of the year (August 31st 2025 due to staffing structure

Senior Teaching Assistant

Askam Village School is a friendly and welcoming school where everybody matters and every moment counts. 

We currently have a two vacancies Senior Teaching Assistants to join our lovely school as soon as is possible. 

Post 1 - (30 hours)
The successful applicant will work primarily in Key Stage 1 but some time in Key Stage 2 working to support individual children, sometimes in the classroom and at other times delivering specific interventions for pupils. The successful applicant will be supported by the classteacher and SENCo. 

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 9am-3.30pm with 30 minutes for lunch.

Post 2 - (25 hours)
The successful applicant will work to support a pupil with an EHCP in Key Stage 2.

Hours of working will be 10-3.30pm with half an hour for lunch.

The successful candidate will:

  •     Have previous experience of working 1-1 and supporting small groups

  •     Have experience of working with pupils with additional needs.
  •     Hold NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  •     Have high expectations and demonstrate a commitment to raising standards and achieving the best for all of our children.

  •     Work with other agencies to support pupils
