Permanent Part Time Office Manager 

BS7 Grade 7 (£26,421-£27,334 dependent on experience) 

23 hours per week pro rata
8:30am-4.00 pm Monday – Wednesday

The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and well-organised School Administrator who can demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and maintain high standards within the school office environment.

Excellent communication and administrative skills are essential, along with the ability to work as part of a highly motivated team. Experience of using school Management Information Systems and a cashless parent payment system such as, School Hub, is desirable but not essential, as training will be given.  Must be willing to engage in training for new management systems as required. Good IT skills are essential. Some understanding of financial procedures would be beneficial but not essential. The post does require working closely with our school finance administrator as required.

The office is a busy, happy place of work.  The administrator is most likely to be the first point of contact for visitors to school and as such will represent the ethos of our establishment.

The successful candidate will be able to work efficiently and to a very high standard whilst retaining a sense of humour, a strong sense of team involvement and a positive attitude. A high degree of confidentiality is essential. The ability to work flexibly, use your own initiative and multitask is essential.

What we’re looking for

This role will place you at the heart of the Good Shepherd Trust’s supportive central team, where you will deliver a proactive, effective and efficient day to day People service across a range of HR areas. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you’ll need to be delivery focussed  and can easily adapt between both strategic and operational service delivery. There’s some exciting work to do to focus our people priorities to help us deliver our new strategic vision and offer.

You will be passionate about your profession and have a natural coaching style with a service-led approach, putting our head teachers and schools first. Providing a central contact point for schools across the trust, liaising with the trust’s HR service provider as well as other external bodies, you will need a track record of successfully supporting Leaders at all levels as a true business partner.
We’re looking for someone who is committed to their own CPD and either CIPD qualified or working towards it.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you’ll be responsible for leading our Governance and Compliance services, providing secretariat support to the Good Shepherd Trust board and its committees. You’ll also be responsible for providing pro-active advice and support to Executive Headteachers, Head of School and Head Teachers, Local Governing Bodies, Trustees, and Members. Organisational planning, prioritising and attention to detail are a must for this role. Previous experience in a similar role would be ideal, but isn’t essential.

Teaching Assistant

The children, staff and Governing Body of Sedbergh Primary School are seeking to appoint a committed and inspirational Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team, with an immediate start. 

•    This is a temporary contract until July 2025 due to funding for a SEN/EHCP child.
•    As well as supporting some whole class teaching, you will work as part of a team across the school, led by our SENDCo, to provide support for children with SEND. This will include 1:1 support in class, 1:1 and small group interventions as well as 1:1 support during lunch times.
•    The hours of work are flexible and to be negotiated with the successful candidate (maximum of 20 hours per week).
•    PCD 5 £23,893 per annum, pro-rata (hourly rate £12.38), term time only
