The Governing Body of Langwathby C of E School are looking to appoint an outstanding and committed Year 2 teacher to join our friendly staff team. 

This is a full-time, fixed term commitment to cover the Spring and Summer Term of 2025 7th January 2025 – 31st August 2025 due to fluctuating pupil numbers) 

Key Requirements:

•    Previous Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience teaching Key Stage 1. We are looking for a capable and proven practitioner who can bring the best out of our learners

•    Subject Leadership: The ideal candidate will have experience in subject leadership and will be able to demonstrate their impact beyond the classroom. They will have a proven track record in inspiring and motivating their colleagues.

•    Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential. The successful candidate will place teacher-pupil relationships and rapport at the centre of their work, creating a positive, nurturing and supportive learning environment for all.

•    Curriculum Planning: The candidate must be able to plan engaging and carefully sequenced units of work, with adaptations to promote inclusion and cater to the diverse individual needs of all learners in the classroom.

•    Pupil Well-being: A focus on pupil well-being and pastoral care is crucial. The successful candidate should be committed to supporting the holistic development of each child, ensuring their welfare and happiness.

•    Team Player: A desire to contribute to, and benefit from, a close staff team is vital. We are looking for a proactive candidate who can collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.

•    Church of England Values: The candidate should actively support the wider life of the school and be comfortable in upholding our Church of England values and ethos. In addition to this, they must also be able to facilitate and further the children’s spiritual development.
