About this opportunity

 

This role will be responsible for the statutory Registration Service across Cumbria and will be hosted by Westmorland and Furness.

 

The Registration Service includes Births, Deaths, preliminaries for Marriages & Civil Partnerships, Still-births, production of copy certificates and all associated administration and statutory processes.

 

The successful applicant will report to the Senior Manager for Cultural Services within the Community Infrastructure team as part of the Thriving Communities Directorate. 

 

The role will ensure that all statutory obligations and key performance indicators are met, and support the Proper Officer for Registration in both Cumberland and Westmorland and Furness to ensure compliance with our obligations under the governance of The General Register Office.
