The right candidate will be an effective communicator who can respond to any service and customer requirements whilst positively influencing those resistant to change. You will support systems users to harness the technology available to them as well as deliver training and ensure consistency so the ability to adapt your communication style to the required audience is key.

You will have worked in a large complex organisation and have an understanding of relevant local authority performance indicators procedures and legislation including GDPR and Information Security. A team player who can work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail you will bring innovative solutions and strong problem-solving skills to the team.

This service will work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders from across the health and social care system and third sector and voluntary groups in Cumbria to ensure short term interventions (including assessment) are undertaken to ensure people are safe and supported using a strengths-based approach. The team will support the admission avoidance and the discharge or people from acute and community hospitals in a safe and timely way reducing the risk of delayed transfers of care.

Newly Qualified Role

As a newly qualified social worker you will be supported throughout your first year in employment with us to undertake our Assessed and Supported first Year in Employment (ASYE) programme alongside our experienced Advanced Practice Leads and colleagues in Learning and Development.

We recognise that our workforce are best placed to design and embed new ways of working to achieve a modern social care service able to deliver the best outcomes for the people of Cumbria within a financially sustainable envelope. Teaching Assistant

Required for Autumn Term 2024- September.

PCD5 - Grade 5, SCP6 (£11.39 per hr)  20 hrs per week (times to be decided).

The children, staff and governors are looking to appoint one Teaching Assistant for September 2024. We would like a friendly team player with high expectations to join our enthusiastic, hardworking team.  Under the direction of teachers/senior staff, tasks to include supporting children 1-1, organising the provision of active break times by arranging, setting up and facilitating games and activities for children across the age ranges. There will also be some general classroom based tasks alongside the main duties.

Essential Attributes

·       Is hard-working, has high standards and enjoys the challenge of working in a small school environment.

·       Experience of working with small groups or individual children.

·       Understands the importance of play based learning.

·       Team member but to also show initiative when required.  

·       Is knowledgeable and organised.

·       Is helpful, understanding, calm and consistent in their standards and behaviour.

·       Is flexible, enjoys sharing ideas and who understands the importance of collaboration.

·       Will promote the schools chosen Christian values and, has an understanding of the importance of them in Church Schools.

Desirable Attributes

·       Has an interest in developing learning thorugh outdoor play.

·       Has an interest in providing quality 1-1 intervention and support.
