Hourly Rate: £13.26 - £17.96
The advertised hourly rate includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.
A market supplement is currently being applied to all night and weekend (Saturday and Sunday) shifts, uplifting your hourly rate in these periods to between approx. £17.68 - £17.96. This will replace any previous market supplements and will apply to both your contracted hours and to any additional hours worked within the applicable time periods.

About the role
As a Night Support Worker (Carer, Care Worker, Care Assistant) you will support our residents typically between 10:00pm and 07:30am. During this time, you will be responsible for administering medication, ensuring all security checks are completed, dealing with emergencies and assisting our Service Users with any of their needs. It is a challenging role, with a great deal of responsibility, and we are looking for someone who has good responses, the ability to adapt and can make safe and confident decisions to support the wellbeing of our residents.

About Our Home
Applethwaite Green is based in Windermere, with the capacity for 27 residents, catering for Dementia, Old Age and Frailty. We are a hard-working and dedicated team, and we strive to ensure our home provides a safe, caring and homely environment for our residents.
Working within our Residential Care Service will typically involve working shifts over 7 days per week, 365 day a year – this will include alternate weekends (as part of a set rota) and Bank Holidays.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with a Adults Barred List check.
